Is there a shop nearby?Yes, the nearest shop is located 10 ,mins from the house. Its a small grocery store with all of the essentials and you can walk there easily.

Is there a pub nearby?Yes the nearest pub is located 10 mins walk from the house and There are a number of other pubs within a fifeteen minute drive . They are local rural Irish pubs .

What's the nearest town?Both Athenry and Tuam are located within a ten minute drive. Located just off the M19 it takes approximately 25 mins to get to Galway City from the property

Do you provide towels?A bath and hand towel is provided for each guest. Beach towels available on request as are additional towels. Nominal charge applied

Do you take dogs?We are happy to accommodate requests for dogs to stay but we do limite the number of dogs to one per Coach House and request that you let us know in advance. Dogs must be less than 14 kilos and cannot be left in the properties when the owners leave the property unless by special arrangement . Dogs are not allowed upstairs in the properties.

What about Wifi?Free Wifi is available in all properties in the Courtyard. Access details will be located in each property.

Are there any local restaurants?There are a selection of restaurants and takeaways in Athenry , Tuam and Claregalway catering for all tastes. We are happy to advise or indeed make reservations as requested.Many of these also operate as takeaways .

Are there any Horse riding facilities nearby?We are located very close to Galway Equestrian Centre and booking can be easily made. As an alternative, beach riding and or hacking can also be arranged.

What is fishing like in the area?Two of the best salmon and trout lakes are located within a short drive. We have close contacts with some professional gillies should you want to go fishing out on the lake and some great advice also if you just want to fish from the shore. A local river is also available . Relevant licences can be purchased nearby.

Games roomWe have a large games room with table tennis and table soccer and some smaller toys for the little ones.

Do you provide a washing machine?There is a shared laundry on site which has a washing machine and dryer ( coin meter operated) , iron and ironing board.

Are there Barbequeing facilities?We have a barbeque on site which you can use privately or on occasion with other guests . We have had a few great impromptu parties !!

Is there an area nearby where guests can walk?The avenues around the house are open to all guests. There are also some longer walking areas within a five minute drive . Local woods where one can enjoy a walk are open to the public. Galway city is a very easy city to access on foot and walking tours can be arranged to take advantage of the cultural and scenic attraction

Is there an area where guests can go for a run?Once again the avenues around the house are open to all guests . The country roads around the property are ideal for running or jogging also . Many of our guests go for their daily run starting at the door of the property.

Can we bring and use bikes?We are happy to have guests bring bicycles . We can provide a safe storage area for the bikes and suggest some excellent routes in addition to the avenues and roads around the property.

If we want to visit Dublin can we do so without bringing a car?There is an excellent train service from Athenry to Dublin and an excellent bus service from Galway. Using either of these avoids expensive parking fees in Dublin.

Can we use the gardens?Gardens can be accessed on request. The Courtyard is itself a really lovely area to sit and relax and each house has its own garden furniture. In addition we are happy to allow guests to sit, read and chill in the more formal garden to the front of the property

Is there a farm?The property is located on a working farm (cattle and horse ) We love to see children and adults interact with the animals . Safety precautions must be taken and for this reason the farmyard itself is only accessible with consent and childreb must be accompanied by an adult

Is Irish music easy to access?Locally there are ‘trad evenings’ during the Summer months in a number of pubs . In Galway city the streets are awash with venues providing music however these can get very crowded. Please check with us if you wish to hear some Irish music and we will direct you to all offerings available advising as to times etc.

We have children. What about if the weather is bad?In addition to what we have available on site there is a wonderful swimming pool in Galway ( Leisureland), numerous play centres , cinemas , Summer Schools all of which we can assist with. pet Farms with indoor and outdoor facilities are a big hit on wet days .

Is it possible to get a babysitter?Available on request with 24 hours notice

Do you provide cots?We are happy to provide cots and high chairs.

If we attend one of the cooking experiences do we get to eat what we make?Yes!!

If we arrive late can we get food?We always encourage guests to do some shopping before they arrive. One large Supermarket close by is open until 11 pm and is located in Athenry. If you would prefer that we have something ready for you to eat just contact us and we can arrange either a hot dish cooked on site or a cheese and cold meat platter at a reasonable charge. Just give us a ‘heads up’ in advance.

Is there a local taxi service?While we recommend strongly that guests have their own transport there is a local Taxi service .

Is there a local bus?We recommend that guests have their own transport while staying with us and while there are some local buses they can only be accessed by car in the first place.
